    Hope you're doing well. We are sorry for the trouble with the chat in Acrobat Reader Mobile.

     

    To help you more accurately, could you share a few additional details?

    1. Which chat feature? Are you referring to the AI Assistant inside Acrobat Reader, or to another chat? AI Assistant requires an active add-on subscription or an eligible plan, it's worth confirming that your subscription is active on your Adobe account.
    2. Device and version: What device are you using (iPhone / iPad / Android) and which OS version? Which version of Acrobat Reader is installed? 
    3. What happens when you try to use the Chat function ? Does the chat stay blank, return an error message, freeze, or simply not send the command at all? If possible, share the exact error message (if any). Or a  small video recording of the steps you are taking and the issue as it occurs would be very helpful.
    4. Open document: Do you have a PDF open at the moment you try to use the chat? AI Assistant needs a loaded document in order to respond about its content.

    In the meantime, here are some quick steps that often resolve this:

    • Check your internet connection AI Assistant requires a stable connection.
    • Fully close and reopen the app 
    • Update Acrobat Reader to the latest version on the App Store / Google Play.
    • Sign out and sign back in with your Adobe ID inside the app to revalidate the subscription.
    • Verify your subscription at account.adobe.com > Plans, confirming that AI Assistant shows as active.
