Open .PDF in Chromebook (acceptance required)

Evening.

I've been sent a .PDF which when opens requires me to accept the terms & conditions of opening the document. At the bottom, there is an I accept button which after accepting is supposed to open the document.

On my Chromebook, I have downloaded Adobe acrobat reader and when I click on the I accept, nothing happens.

Any ideas on how to fix this? It works fine on my colleagues Windows device.

I doubt the mobile Reader will work for this. You probably need Mac or Windows Reader.

I have a ChromeBook and wouldn't think the Windows or Mac versions would work on that.

You are right. You would also need a Windows or Mac computer. There's a lot of things that can't be done on a Chromebook (or phone). I don't say this was a good choice by the maker of the form - you can check with them if they have a way to use it on Android/Chromebook.

Hi @Dean281379100rga,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Acrobat Reader Mobile.

Would you mind sharing a few pieces of information for further investigation:

1. The application version of Acrobat Reader Mobile you have installed;

2. A screen recording of what happens when you accept the conditions;

3. The file ( on private message if sensitive) so we can try to reproduce it and get back to you with a resolution.

While you do so, would you mind trying to open the file on the web portal: https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/documents/

Look forward to hearing from you.

Good morning Souvik.

The version I have installed on my Chromebook is 22.12.1.25269. I am happy
to arrange a call and share on screen what happens, I will have a go at
recording this process for you. I can not share the document as this is a
confidential third party SOC2 report.

If you let me know a good time for you, happy to arrange a call to show you
what I'm doing and the outcome. I understand the same document is working
fine on a Windows device.

Kind regard

Dean
