"Out of Memory" Errror in iOS App

I'm getting an "Out of Memory" popup while making comments on a PDF. The PDF is only 100 pages long and 9.1 MB, so it's clearly not a memory issue. I had only made 70 comments before I started getting the error (I have made upwards of 1,000 with no issues before). In addition to the popup, the screen turns gray.

I have no other apps running on my iPad, and every software is up to date. I fear this may have something to do with last week's app crash debacle. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out. This kind of issue usually happens when the phone is running too many apps at once or hasn’t been cleaned up in a while. When that happens, your phone can get slow or show errors, even if the app is working fine.

Here are a few steps you can try to fix the issue:

  1. Remove unused apps:
Delete any apps you don’t really use, especially ones that show too many ads. These apps can slow down your phone and use up memory.

  2. Check for updates:
Make sure your phone and the Acrobat app are both updated to the latest version available on App/Play store and reboot the device once. Updates often fix bugs and improve performance.

  3. Close background apps:
If many apps are open at the same time, your phone may not have enough memory to run them all properly. Try closing apps you’re not using.

  4. Restart your phone:
A simple restart can often fix small issues. It clears temporary files and gives your phone a fresh start.

Try these steps and see if that works for you.
