Password protected PDF file

I cant open my bank statement because it is password protected. I dont remember installing a password. How can i change the password

Passwords on Bank Statement PDFs are normally applied by your Bank to safeguard your privacy and protect sensitive information.

You should be seeing hints of the password on the email where you receive the statement.

 

If not, I suggest you reach out to your bank as they would be in the best position to assist you here.

No password gets added to a PDF file, if not a user decides that. If there is a password, the only method to get rid of that is to open the PDF file and change the PDF files protection settings. For doing that, you obviously need the password.
