pdf document will not open

Since a company I am associated with updated their app, I can no longer open their monthly pdfs. On my end, I have the free version of adobe acrobat--all was working correctly before the company updated their app. My version is up to date, my iPad mini iOS is up to date. Anyone having similar problem and have found solution? Or is this the company's problem?
