Pdf files

Hi , i receive my wage invoices from Hermes deliveries . When i receive my notifications , Adobe will not open them no matter what browser i use . Google , Chrome or Firefox . I am using a Samsung S10+ . Can you give me any guidance , as go why it says when trying to open it  " file may be broken or corrupt "
