PDF files stored in one drive sent over whatsapp do not open at receiver's end

I have OneDrive work account on my phone. If I send a PDF file, stored in OneDrive, over WhatsApp the file does not open at receiver’s end. If I try to open same file on my WhatsApp then also it doesn’t open and screen shows “copy to acrobat”. This also doesn’t work.

    Thanks a lot. The answers are as under: 

     

    1. Files open in PDF format but not in Acrobat.
    2. All my files are on OneDrive. However, checked a couple of files which open. 
    3. Using iOS
    4. File does not open in Acrobat and no msg either. Thus action simply not complete.

    Thanks for reaching out, and sorry for the troubled experience. And thank you for the details.

    Based on your description, it is not yet clear whether Acrobat is the source of the issue. The workflow involves OneDrive and WhatsApp, and we would first need to determine whether the PDF can be accessed normally in Acrobat outside of the sharing process.

    Could you please confirm:

    • Are you able to open the PDF directly in Acrobat on your device from OneDrive?

    • Does the issue occur with all PDFs or only files stored in your OneDrive work account?

    • Are you using Android or iOS?

    • What happens when you select “Copy to Acrobat”? Do you receive an error message, or does the action simply not complete?

    • Could you share a short video of the workflow?

    If the PDF opens successfully in Acrobat but fails only when shared via WhatsApp, the issue may occur outside Acrobat’s workflow. Additional details will help us better understand where the failure is occurring.
