Question

Please add the option to lock horizontal scrolling

Sometimes I zoom in the documents a bit to view them better and to fit "only the content" in the viewport. But when I scroll down or up it accidentally also scrolls left and right. I would want to lock the horizontal scrolling so it only scrolls vertically.

Thank you.

+1, this is definitely the most useful feature when reading pdfs for a long time. If the product managers spent a long time actually using the app, this would be the first feature they would want to implement. For a reference implementation, Please check the "Read-era" app. The "lock scroll" feature is so beautiful, once you use it, there is no going back. In almost every pdf, the very first step before reading is to adjust the zoom and horizontal scroll to fit the content to the viewport. Once I do that, there is no longer any need for horizontal scroll. It is just so annoying when the pdf accidentally scrolls left or right, and i have to keep re-adjusting it. Strongly request the product managers to look into this feature. If you search the internet, there are so many other people who also want the same thing. Adobe reader has so many more complicated features. This simple feature will deliver the most bang for the buck rather than all the other AI shenanigans

Hi arifb,

As per the issue description mentioned above, you want to lock the pdf while scrolling a pdf, is that correct?

You may visit the following to request this feature to the product team: Adobe Acrobat for Android - Feature Request/Bug Report Form

You may also try opening pdf in reading mode and check if that helps: Acrobat Reader Help for Android: Set Viewer options

Thanks,

Shivam
