Pre defined photo field

Hello, I have a PDF with a pre defined field that I wasn't to load a picture into.  I can click the field but the option to insert a photo into the field does not appear.  The desktop version has a window pop up with the option to search the machine for a photo and it then inserts it to the area that has been pre defined.  As I said, I can select the field but nothing happens after this.
