Question

Prevent liquid mode at creation time

Hello

At times, when I open certain documents on an Android mobile, I don't see the liquid mode as an option

How does this work? I'd like to generate documents that will NOT open in liquid mode. It will be nice for the creator of a document to have this possibility.

One of the libraries we use is the one at https://github.com/mpdf/mpdf

Any ideas/thoughts will be welcome

Thanks

Hope you are doing well. Thank you for writing in!

I have shared the information with the development team and awaiting their response.

@Venkatesh290629573rsv

Our team would like to know the use case on why you would require Liquid Mode disabled when the PDF is created.

Would you mind briefing us on the topic so the team can consider the possibilities?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Souvik

Thanks for your response

The liquid mode applies certain logic that screws up a structure and the goal of the person who created the PDF may be totally lost

For example, when I create a table of contents and internal hyperlinks within the document, even when the document reads well on responsive screens (without the liquid mode), once liquid mode is applied, the content goes haywire

If the liquid mode is enabled by default then the user is lost!

In fact, what would be ideal is the following:

  1. Document creator adds a header or something else in the document that is displayed to the user only if the document is being seen in liquid mode
  2. Document creator adds a header or something else in the document which says whether or not liquid mode should be displayed by default

Thanks
