Problem with Thai text disappearing in Fill & Sign function

Hi,

I’m facing an issue with Acrobat Reader and left a review on the App Store. The developer suggested I escalate the issue here in the community.

I am experiencing a bug in Acrobat Reader on both my iPhone and iPad (though I mainly use the app on my iPad).

When using the Fill & Sign feature, any text I enter completely disappears if it contains Thai characters. This happens whether I type Thai text alone, combine Thai with English, or combine Thai with numbers. On the other hand, it works perfectly fine when typing in English only.

I have attached two screen recordings to demonstrate:

1 Video 1: Showing the Fill & Sign function, where the Thai text consistently disappears.

2 Video 2: Showing a different text insertion tool where the Thai text does not disappear.

I am currently using this second method as a temporary workaround, but frankly, it is much less convenient than using Fill & Sign.

 

Device Details:

iPad: iPad Pro (11-inch) (3rd generation) running iPadOS 26.5

iPhone: iPhone 16 Pro running iOS 26.5

 

Hope this bug can be resolved!

    Hi there 

     

    Our team is unable to reproduce this issue in-house. Could you confirm if you are using a fillable PDF form or the fill and sign tool?

    Hi Amal,

     

    I have tested this with both fillable and non-fillable PDF.

    The Thai text issue only occurs with the non-fillable PDF (or PDF forms where Acrobat cannot auto-detect the fillable fields).
