Search issues Adobe Reader

I've encounter problems using the search function in de Adobe Reader app on iPad Air 2 with iPadOS (version 14.2). When using the search function the result must be shown highlighted in yellow and that's not working properly. Sometimes the results are highlighted but most of the time it just jumps to the right page without the yellow highlights, and is looks like this failure is just random. I tried several PDF documents and I also did unstall the reader app in tried a new installation but unfortunately this is not helping. Anyone had similar issues?

I have the same problem with an iPad Pro. All apps and iOS are up to date.
