Hi @gemma_7271

I hope you’re doing well, and thank you for reaching out.

To ensure your files are safely transferred and your iPad is ready for sale, please follow these steps:

  1. Transfer Local Files:
Any files stored directly on your iPad's local memory should be transferred to your MacBook. You can do this by connecting your iPad to your MacBook and using Finder (or iTunes on older macOS versions) to copy the files over. Once the transfer is complete, you can safely delete the files from your iPad.

  2. Manage Cloud Storage Files:
For files stored in cloud services (such as iCloud, Google Drive, or Dropbox), you can download them directly to your MacBook by logging into your cloud account from your MacBook and saving the necessary files. This ensures all your important data is securely stored on your MacBook.

  3. Sign Out of Cloud Services:
Before selling your iPad, please make sure to log out of any cloud storage accounts on the device. This step is crucial to protect your personal data and ensure that the new owner doesn't have access to your files.

These steps will help ensure that all your files are safely transferred and your iPad is ready for its new owner
