Trouble with IPad and Adobe…constant read only message

Hello,

I need help with an IPad/Adobe issue. I just started using an IPad Pro, preciously I had a MacBook and no problem. I have a tax for I need to FILL out each month. The is my first time using the IPad for  this. When I bring the form up and download  it to Adobe and try to fill it in, it continues to say it is read only, I've tried every button, I've tried clicking the little circle with the pin to edit it, but a message comes up that tells me it's read only. I've have been working on this for 2 hours and called Apple, they tried but finally said I needed to contact you. I have attached 2 photos, on is the directions from the State telling me how and where to download the fill... the second is a shot of te actual tax page with the yellow  highlighting on Adobe showing it is read only. I am hoping that this is understandable....I really need to send these in. Thank you so much!

Where did you get form G-45? I found it here and it is not a fillable form.

I used the Prepare Form tool and there are no fields. I can't fill it out on either my desktop or my iPad. Do you have another link?

 

I am using Acrobat DC Pro on my desktop and I think the issue is with the form — not with Acrobat or Acrobat Reader or Acrobat Reader for Mobile.

here is the file (I hope) it is form G 45 "rev.2019.

it should come up a yellow information page, when you scroll down is the form THANK YOU!

These forms are NOT read only or password protected when you pull them on a Windows based computer so why are they not fillable on an iPad????  I need this function in order to do my job.  Is Adobe not compatable with IOS and should I be using a different application besides Adobe to fill in PDF's????

    The same question for you: where did you get form G-45? Do you have a different link from the one I found? This one is not a fillable form.

    Hi @Caroline28234773onau,

     

    Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Acrobat Reader.

     

    Government State files are made read-only and password protected for editing, due to which you get this error. The other issue could be with the architecture of the file.

     

    Would you mind sharing the file with us to investigate further?
