Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Acrobat Reader Mobile.

Would you mind sharing the file with us to reproduce the issue? 

What I suspect is the architecture of the file. If a paragraph break is given when the file is created, or if you have selected a specific area of text, the text-to-speech function will pause once the selection is read through.

If this is not the case, please share a recording so we can check and get back to you with a concrete solution.
