Unable to copy in one form box and paste in another

using Adobe Reader for iPad on an iPad Mini in iOS 10.1.1, I have a pdf document open for filling in of a form - but if I copy text in one data entry box, I cNt paste it into another. It will paste within the same box, but not a different one.
