    Hi @sreeramkr,

    Thank you for reaching out!
We're sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue with Adobe Scan. We completely understand how frustrating it must be to have a PDF creation task stuck for 2 days with no way to cancel it.

This appears to be related to a large image batch being processed without a defined upper limit, causing the task to hang indefinitely. We are looking into this.

In the meantime, please try the following steps:

    1. Force-stop the Adobe Scan app (not just restart — go to Device Settings > Apps > Adobe Scan > Force Stop)
    2. Clear the app cache (Settings > Apps > Adobe Scan > Storage > Clear Cache)
    3. Reopen the app and check if the stuck task has cleared
    4. If the task is still stuck, try signing out of your Adobe account within the app and signing back in
    5. As a last resort, uninstall and reinstall Adobe Scan from the App Store / Play Store
    6. To help us investigate and escalate this further, could you please share the following details?
    7. Device make and model (e.g., Samsung Galaxy S23, iPhone 15)
    8. Operating System and version (e.g., Android 14, iOS 17.4)
    9. Adobe Scan app version (Check in App Store / Play Store > Installed)
    10. Approximate number of images you were trying to convert to PDF
    11. Average file size or resolution of the images (if known)
    12. Were the images taken within Adobe Scan, or imported from your gallery?
    13. Is your device storage close to full?
    14. Are you on a Wi-Fi or mobile data connection during the process?
    15. Any error messages shown (if any), even briefly?

Thank you for your patience and we'll follow up as soon as possible.

Tried the above steps, in Adobe scan nothing worked, tried in Adobe mobile reader clearing cache nothing worked, cleared all system data the background task which was running for 2 days stopped and got cleared.

Hope all my pdf documents in the Adobe cloud and in my app/mobile download gets tagged again.

Hope the PDF space query and other details remain the same.

That was a bad bug inside Adobe reader maybe used the create pdf from Adobe reader instead of Adobe scan.

    Hi @sreeramkr

You can check your document here online https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/documents/

Ensure login with same Adobe ID that was used on Adobe Scan app.

This issue may happen if the uploading process may stuck in loop among any of the reasons i asked above.

If the issue re-appears let us know, since we have majority of the details, we can check with product engineering.

    Thank you for your patience.
