Unable to insert pictures from mobile device in a fillable PDF (Android)

We have created a fillable placeholder for pictures with Acrobat Pro. When we open the document on a work station, it is possible to fill out the whole document and to upload pictures, even with the Acrobat Reader.

When we open the same document with an android device, we can fill in the whole document exept from the picture placeholder. The placeholder icon is not displayed - there is only a "grey box".

Is there anyone who knows a solution for this?
