Need assistance please.

Attempting to link adobe reader on my tablet to my dropbox account. Getting error after accepting api request in dropbox account: "dropbox account could not be linked, Please try again later" .

Have tried the following:

1. Uninstall  adobe reader and reinstallation

2. Reload tablet.

3. Change dropbox password

4. Tried linking on another tablet and it works

5. Switched between wifi and lte and does the same on both network types.

Has anyone experienced the same issue and found a solution.

Any advise will be much appreciated.

Regards

JP

i asked the question because mostly corrupted or pirated iso's in repaired handheld devices and also in computers cause most of the problems.

OK then. Let's see here.

I have a question for you:- Was the specified tablet repaired recently for any problems?

Nope, no repairs was conducted on the tablet before the issue arose.

Thank you thus far for all your assistance.

Umm, I don't think you understood what i was trying to say.

https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/55831/how-does-restrict-background-data-work - See this.

Background Data Restriction means what it says simply. It means that no apps can use internet in background.

Adobe Reader does need background data, I think.

All applications, including adobe's background usage is not restricted in any way, sorry my wording was incorrect in my previous reply.

Are you restricting background data?

Good Day Yourhelper

Thank you for the idea, just checked it out, but unfortunately all apps are not redistricted in there usage of data.

Much appreciated.

Hi JP,

Sorry to hear the inconvenience caused and thanks for sharing the troubleshooting steps you followed.

Would you please check the workaround shared in the similar discussion here Problem adding Dropbox account at Reader DC on Windows 7 which has helped resolving the problem.

And if the solution provided did not work, the you may try uninstalling the Reader using cleaner tool- Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

and install it- Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions

Let us know the update whether this is helpful or not.

Regards,

Akanchha

Good Day Akanchha,

Thank you for your response, much appreciated.

But unfortunately above is not applicable to my issue as the above is targeted at windows based machine. The issue I am experiencing is on a android based tablet.

Kind Regards

JP

Hi JP,

Thanks for clearing the confusion. looking at the troubleshooting steps you have shred above, it seems that you have tried almost everything to troubleshoot on mobile device. As its working on the other mobile devices so could be a possibility that your device isn't supported. Or did it ever work on this specific device?
