Just to clarify, are you referring to a password being asked when you try to open a particular PDF or to open any application?

If the scenario is for a PDF, I'm afraid you might need to contact the creator of the PDF to share the password with you again. If it is related to a specific application, you might want to contact either the manufacturer ( if system inbuilt security) or the third party ( if a third party security app) to get the password reset or removed.
