Unexpected error

One weird thing happened, there was a file with name say xyz, I opened this file many times and edited/updated it using the Adove tools, and also this file was starred (means saved on cloud).

Recently I shared this file with a friend as a copy, the copy she had consisted all the edits or updates which I did, but when I opened the file, what I had was a blank (original unedited copy) file.

 

How did this happen? and this seems huge ulnerability, please someone help me out here.
