Question

Useless on an iPad Pro

I needed to fill out a form in the pdf-format, but just received a message that I need Acrobat Reader 8 installed and it's not available on the iPadOS so this app is useless. You don't need Acrobat Reader to write or draw on PDFs on an iPad Pro, as it's integrated in the OS, but I'd like to type, not draw or write, and that doesn't work.
Furthermore, when I tried to download the PDF on my iMac, I only got a file with more or less the same message, needing the AR8 in order to download and read and write on the document - in spite of the fact that I have the latest available version installed on my iMac.

Open the form in Acrobat Reader on Windows or Mac.

How can I do that when it only consists of a page saying that I need to have Acrobat Reader version 8 and I have downloaded the latest version and installed it? That page is the only thing which downloads, not the form. Maybe there's some hidden trick here I'm missing, but it's not very intuitive, to say the least.

How have you downloaded the form?
