When I use Adobe Scan and then go to open the document in Adobe Acrobat. The program says that I need authorization. The program says that it sends a request for authorization to my email but I never get it. What is going on?

I appear to have two different Adobe Acrobat premium accounts and they seem to be in conflict when I scan a document in Adobe Scan and then try to open it in Adobe Acrobat. I need to cancel one of the accounts and activate the other account and I can’t seem to do it because the program does not send an email to my email that will allow me to authorize opening a document from Adobe Scan and need help with my accounts

    Hi @social_teacher4113

I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out. Having two accounts conflict when you open a scan in Acrobat, and not getting the authorization email, makes it hard to use your documents. Let’s start by checking which account each app is signed in to.

Could you please try the following:

    • In Adobe Scan and in Acrobat, open the profile or account section and check which Adobe ID is signed in. If they differ, sign out of one and sign in with the same Adobe ID in both apps.

    • Check your spam or junk folder for the authorization email, and confirm that the primary email on your Adobe account is the address you are checking. This article explains how: Troubleshoot missing Adobe subscription emails

    • Sign in at https://adobe.ly/4z3H08e and open Plans for each account to see which one has the plan you want to keep.

Once you know which account to keep, please check the steps shared in the help article https://adobe.ly/4yBW9N5 to learn more about the cancellation.

Let us know how it goes.

    Regards

    Amal
