Why does my refund needs to be from the merchant? But Adobe is the one charging me? Can someone help me with this concern?

I have tried to request a refund from Adobe but they recommended me to consult Apple Pay? But Apple pay is not the one charing me and I didn’t use it for the payment with Adobe.

    Hi beautiful_mindsetbff8,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the trouble caused.

We have reviewed your account and confirmed that you purchased the Acrobat Premium subscription through the Apple Store. For information on how to cancel your subscription and request a refund, please refer to the help document titled: Refunds for Acrobat mobile subscriptions. Please check the “Note” section in the document for specific details regarding refunds.

I hope this information helps you.

    Thanks,

    Meenakshi

It sounds like the payment may have been processed through Apple rather than directly by Adobe, even if Adobe is the service being charged. I’d check your Apple purchase/subscription history and the original payment receipt to confirm who processed the transaction. If Adobe still shows as the merchant, contacting Adobe Support with the payment details should help clarify who can issue the refund.

It’s weird because I can’t see it using my Apple pay account? And it didn’t show the transaction from the amount because the payment went to a different account, I have use is Gcash for the payment and was auto deducted but it wasn’t shown on the Apple Pay subscription.

That sounds like an Apple issue, not Adobe.
