Why my attachment are opening with Adobe

Could you please share more details about the issue? Are you using an iOS device or an Android? Are you experiencing this with all the files, or with a specific file?

It seems like the Adobe Reader has been set as the default app for opening these files on your phone, so tapping an attachment routes it to Adobe.

If you are on Android
The PDF default is set to Adobe (often because you once tapped "Always"). To reset it:

1. Settings > Apps > Adobe Acrobat (or whichever app keeps opening them).

2. Tap "Open by default" (may be called "Launch by default").

3. Tap "Clear defaults."
   Next time you open an attachment, the app chooser appears, and you can pick the app you want. Choose "Just once" (not "Always") if you do not want it locked to one app again. You can also set defaults per file type under Settings > Apps > Default apps.

4. Please note that the steps may vary depending on the version of the OS installed.

If you are on iOS/iPhone
Apple does not let you set a permanent default app per file type, so this is controlled at the moment you open the file. In your email or Files app, instead of tapping the attachment (which uses its built-in preview or the last app), use the Share icon and pick the app you want (for example, Excel for a spreadsheet). For PDFs you want in Adobe, Share > Copy to Acrobat.

Also, please note that Adobe Reader cannot actually open a real Excel file (.xlsx) as a PDF; it only handles PDFs.
