Why was Gmail removed form the suggested apps when sending a copy

Mainly I used send a copy when emailing service tickets and I’m able to pick Gmail from the suggested apps when sending a copy. But since the latest update Gmail is not available on the suggested apps to send a copy. The apple mail is available but the company I work for only uses Gmail. Gmail is available to share a link but not to send a copy.

Hi @magnetic_enthusiasmd1f1 we did a quick check and can confirm that Gmail appears as a suggested app in the Send a Copy workflow from the document share sheet. For Gmail to appear directly in the OS share sheet, we need to either add it to the Favorites or ensure it appears at the top of the Suggestions section. We can do this by scrolling all the way to the right and tapping Edit.

Let us know if you experience any any trouble and need more help.

    Hi @magnetic_enthusiasmd1f1

I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out. I understand it’s disruptive when Gmail no longer appears when you send a copy, especially since you email service tickets this way and your company uses only Gmail.

Gmail appearing for sharing a link but not for Send a copy is helpful to know. To review this, could you please share:

    • Your device model and iOS or iPadOS version

    • The Acrobat Reader app version installed on your device

    • The exact steps you take, for example: open the PDF, tap Share, then Send a copy. A small video recording of the steps you are taking and the issue as it occurs would be very helpful.

    • Whether the Gmail app is installed and signed in on the same device

In the meantime, you can try these:

    • When the share options appear after tapping Send a copy, scroll to the end of the apps row and tap More. This lets you check whether Gmail can be turned on there.

    • Use the share-a-link option, which you mentioned still shows Gmail, to send the file until this is sorted.

    Regards

    Amal
