Writing saves slightly differently than original when writing while zoomed in

I'm having an issue where if I use the pen tool to write while zoomed in, my writing changes slightly when I quit the pen tool. It's been making my Cs look like Ls or Is. Is there a way to fix this? I've attached a video of it.
