Convert an Outlook email to pdf and include its pdf attachments into ONE pdf file
I just spent the entire day online with Adobe support trying to convert an Outlook email with pdf attachments into ONE pdf file. I still cannot do it.
I am running Windows 7, Version 6.1 (Build 7601: Service Pack 1), Microsoft Office 2013, and Acrobat XI Pro - Version 11.0.18 (updated this morning). My conversion settings are correct ("Include attachments..."). I was told by the online support rep that Microsoft Office 2013 did not support Acrobat Pro XI, version 11.0.18 and that I needed to downgrade my Acrobat to version 11.0.06. I shared my screen with him and he uninstalled Acrobat and reinstalled version 11.0.06. Still did not work. He then uninstalled that version and installed 11.0.01.
The end result is that now, when I convert the email, I get a pdf of the original email, which contains a LINK to the attachment(s) as a separate document(s). This is no better than what I started with. What I am trying to do is take (sometimes hundreds) of emails from a client and produce them in a lawsuit. For evidentiary purposes, each email MUST include every one of its attachments. The final pdf needs to be one document so that I can then bate-stamp and produce it. It cannot be a document with links to other documents. Up to now, I have had to save the attachments as separate pdf files, then combine the converted email with the pdf attachments into a new document. This is very time-consuming when you have hundreds of emails (or even 20). Can I not convert the email and end up with ONE complete pdf file (email+attachments), without links, or is linking the attachments my only option? If so, that's fine, I will give up and do it the hard way, but if it can be done more efficiently, could someone please help? I would appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks very much!
Suzanne
