This application is the single worst piece of technology I've ever seen. For 5 HOURS, we have been trying to convert an adobe acrobat file to a pdf or literally any other type of file because an adobe file is not manageable, since anything that you try to add to the file turns into little boxes with x's or gibberish, it is crazy, it makes you go crazy!!! Then on top of that, because the file got corrupted all of our work turned into little boxes with x's and we lost 11 pages of work. This issue has to be fixed since this could ruin many other people's hard work just like it did ours. Please be aware that the only reason we even used adobe acrobat in the first place was because we didn't have any other options!!!       

There is any way to sign a form with "Fill and Sign" option but still can be able to edit, and write comments in my form? this is a form shared through many poeple, I sign but I need to sen the form to another colleague, also to validate and sign his part.Thanks for the help!

When I'm in "Fill and Sign" and add text, I hit save, move to the subsequent page, and when I return to the previous page, all of my added text has been deleted.

Hello dear friends,I have a task to calculate the percentage of fields in Adobe Acrobat PDF form containing status "Done".There are following statuses:"Done", "Open", "Feedback". So I need to calculate the percentage of the  fields that will be filled with status "Done". The names of fields are "Status1", "Status2", .... "Status15".I need to write customized Javascript and to be honest I am zero there. Can anyone help me with this ?

I created a form with 5 diferent departments, first user who will filled the form must choose 3 department and after that cick on button to send email for the first choosen department.My question is: How can I insered an email address in each radio button and put this info in my email code, so the button can be able to send to the first choice, and second and third...I din´t know if I make myself clear.

Hi,I went to the help pages to see how to access the "compare documents" tool. It says to select Tools->Compare. However, my tools menu does not have that tool. On the help page there was a screenshot of the Tools screen (with all the tools icons). There were far more tools pictured there than what I have in my tools menu, including the Compare files tool. I don't understand why I don't have all the tools for Acrobat DC STD (2015)Thanks,JoycePS - I am posting this to "Creating PDFs" simply because none of the choices had anything to do with my question, so I just picked the first one on the list. I feel like SUCH a scrub but I've never worked in Acrobat before. I downloaded all the extensions I need (I think) but when I add a JS action in my form and hit edit, I get an error in VS code saying the file path doesn't exist. I feel like I must be doing something out of order. 

Apologies if this has already been covered.I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and want to run a script on the digital signature field such that when the user clicks on the field, the application alerts them of any required fields that were left blank and won't let them sign/save until said required fields are filled in (text and radio buttons alike).If anyone can help me with providing the JavaScript for it - including what parameters or options I need to have said script setup - that would be wonderful!Thanks!

Trying to finish up a fillable pdf and am stuck on this last bit. Have a radio box where you can select one of 2 options, and need to get a signature box to appear when 1st radio option is selected.

Hello Adobe Acrobat Community, I'm encountering a puzzling issue with a PDF form that contains numerous fillable fields, including radio buttons. Whenever I merge this form with another file (be it another form or a regular PDF), some of the radio buttons inexplicably change their values, while others get reset and become empty.Has anyone experienced a similar problem? What could be causing this behavior, and how can I prevent it? Each field in the form has a unique name. Hi Folks, I have a U3D model file generated and can embed it into pdf by using Acrobat pro by manually inserting it. We want to automate the procedure of manually inserting the u3d model into PDFs. We have a product developed which already generates a pdf as an output. Now we want to embed this u3d model automatically through code. Can this be done using Adobe sdk? Is editing possible using Adobe sdk?

I've a code snippet to pinpoint empty fields within a lengthy form. Ideally, the script sholuld guides me directly to the first blank field. But, if this proves challenging, I'd like it to provide the page number and the information from the tooltip associated with the empty field. My intention is to populate the tooltip with brief descriptions, facilitating rapid identification for users. New Acrobat, new problems.I cannot delete any of the given icons (all commands are grey) and was only able to add an icon after moving the toolbar from its standard position - but not place the icon where I want it.I cannot replace the Toolbar permanently in a position which would be less disturbing for work (like top menu bar).What's this, Acrobat? Are you identifying as Facebook and deciding what your user wants over its head?

I have a fillable PDF document with form fields and submit button.Submit button originally calls a REST api end point:submitForm({cURL: 'https://api.example.com,cSubmitAs: 'XFDF' }); However, the REST api requires basic authentication and doesn't support SSO.So, I am looking for other options.As a workaround, I am trying to export the form fields as a string and include it as a Query parameter and launch the application URL in the browser(see code snippet below). Application URL supports SSO and once user is authenticated successfully, I plan to use the data from the query parameter to invoke the REST api. Issue: See code snippet below. When URL value with Query parameters  stored in "finalAppURL" exceeds 2076 characters, it is getting truncated once the browser is launched. Hi! I work in product documentation and for every publication that we produce, we need to send a Print Specification PDF to the printer. The print specification needs to have the publication's title, page numbers, publication number and edition (found in the footer and last page), project, date, and a screenshot of the cover of the publication. I got the date automatically, and the filename which is the article number+edition. I also managed to get a button to insert an image, which prompts me to select an image file, I select the publication PDF and only the cover photo gets inserted, which works great. However, I would like to be able to select the publication PDF file and extract all the other fields, hopefulyl at the same time. The Project needs to be inserted manually.  Is there a way to do this with Acrobat Pro?

I have a problem with scaling of Acrobat DC UI, as detailed in the screenshots above (MS Word is positioned behind Acrobat windows for scale).I have a Lenovo P50 with a 15' 3840x2160 high dpi screen (200% scaling); and a secondary 21' 1920x1080 monitor (100% scaling). I am running the latest version of Windows 10 with the latest graphics drivers available for my machine.Acrobat DC looks fine on high-dpi screen. However, the interface becomes extremely large when the window is dragged to the secondary screen. Acrobat does not correctly resize the interface to 100%. As you can see, that impacts even the top title bar. Disabling scaling in Acrobat options does not fix the problem. The UI is then somewhat smaller, but still too large to be usable on the secondary display. Hello, I setup a form with a submit button. That submit button links to a Google Form submission. I got it connected correctly where new rows are being entered into the form, but all I get is a time stamp. It won't take the data entered.I started simple with just one text field. I'm having trouble getting commands that relate to the Adobe Acrobat 10.0 Type Library to run in Excel VBA. In my code I'm just trying to open two PDFs and merge them into one. I have Adobe Acrobat Pro (Version 23.001.20174.0) installed and I have Adobe Acrobat 10.0 Type Library enabled in my VBA editor. We are using Acrobat Standard DC in a Windows 7 environment (64 bit).  A very small percentage of our users repeatedly loses their PDF printer in the devices and printers area so they aren't able to print from other software to PDF.  We run a repair on the Acrobat program and the printer comes back, but we shouldn't have to keep doing that.  Is there a permanent fix for this?
