I am working on improving the maintenance for my company's equipment via a service ticket.  When the service ticket form is filled out and submitted, I would like to have it generate a number (in order) for that document (for ex: 2019-001, 2019-002, 2019-003, etc.).  I have seen some similar questions answered but all are having the number created when the document is opened.Thanks for the help!

I have used the following code in a pdf document.    event.value = ( this.getField("Rent").value / this.getField("Month").value ) * this.getField("Days").value. I have formatted the field for two decimal places. When I total several of these calculations in a later field it is sometimes off by .01. While the field is rounding the number, it is using the actual number with many places after the decimal point in adding multiple fields together.

Hello,I am building a single form that I hope to make multi-purpose using different views.The first view/function is an internal facing document that a technician will populate much of the information. This will ultimately end up with a sales rep, who can then click a button and create a customer facing document with much of the information retained and a lot of it hidden.I have almost everything dialed in and I am stuck on maintaining the data initially entered by technician into the 2nd customer view. The fields between the 2 different views are largely the same, but the positioning within the document changes once switched over the to customer view.What I want to accomplish is having duplicated or linked text fields that once the tech enters it the first time will mirror into the 2nd customer field view (which would be hidden at the time of the tech completing the form).Best way I can equate it is a cell reference formula in Excel.Any ideas?Thanks in adv!

i have a small question regarding formulas in acrobat. 4 fields there... if i enter a number in one of them i want to calculate the values of the other 3 fields. if i enter another number in a second field (not empty) the calculation should start from the beginning.... who can help me there??

Hello Javascripters,I'm using DC, and I have a form set up that I use as a template to create many versions of itself. At the moment, I open up the master form, fill in all the relevant details, and then hit a custom menu item that saves the master form as a copy of itself to a specified folder on my hard drive, naming it with concatenated data from some of the fields on it that I have just filled in, and in the process, closes the original master, having reset all the fields, leaving it clean and fresh to open another time when I want to create another copy. (Each copy contains information about various events that I am attending, and I need to know travel and accommodation details for each etc)The master form also has a pdf attachment, which contains supplementary information regarding travel itinerary details pertaining to the event I am attending.When the master form saves a copy of itself, it obviously includes a copy of the attachment along with it. Below is the pastebin for that code and it's commented out to show what each bit is for.[JavaScript] PDF Form Saving - Pastebin.com I'm wanting to dumb this down a bit so that, instead of importing data to create the forms, a user will: fill out the form, choose the menu item according to what type of form it is, and the script then uses the PFFSID field data to use in the Switch portion to determine the folder it is to be saved in at the end of the script.I thought that if I simply removed the While loop that the Switch section would be able to pass all necessary data to the SaveAs command, but I was wrong and I'm not exactly sure why. I grabbed some code on how to rename a file based on the string  position within the file. That doesn't work for me because the data in the files changes so the text I need for renaming the file can be shifted. What I need instead is some sort of If/Then/Else formula. I found that code here: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2364649 but I'm trying to tweak it to suit my needs. I have a fillable PDF that has multiple date fields. There is a main date field and all the rest follow in sequential order i.e. the main date is June 1st 2019 and then the other fields would go June 2nd 2019, June 3rd 2019, and so on. How do I get them to auto-populate based on the primary date?

Ideally I'd like to setup an action that will add a few lines of white space to the first page of multiple documents at a time.I am hoping to increase the page size to add a footer text / image that includes the filename and some other information. I used to be able to use the Crop tool to increase the page size, but that doesn't seem to work now and i'd like to be able to set it up as an action. I would like to be able to determine if a PDF has layers/OCGs in it using an existing VB.net where we are previewing images.We have some graphics files that our graphics department didn't turn off a layer with template marks on them.We can't see them in the preview, but they do show up when actually printed.When I come across one, I want to be able to alert them to correct the situation.

I have a script in a field that takes 3 other fields and formats them into 1 address field that is formatted nicely.Works great if the user is inputting them in but I would like it to work if I import data into those 3 fields - but it is not.Code is below. Hi,I've downloaded the SDK 7.0 for Linux and unzipped.  Am unclear on which binaries to install or if I need to do a make/compile first.  There appears to be two binaries in the unzipped folders.  makekey and makeppi.  Are these the binaries?  If so, how can I get a listing of the methods/functions in each?  Want to determine which binary contains the  methods/functions outlined in the SDK 7.0 object model.Have code working on Windoze side but need to port over to linux.Any help or guidance to resources would be most appreciated.Thank you.Scott

I have a group of 15 check boxes, if one of them (or more) is checked, then I would like field to show. If none are checked, the field disappears. How would I do this?Additionally, if the check boxes and fields are updated (if spawned), how would this work?

I need a script to calculate the nth day of the year.  I would like to input a date on a form, and then have a script in a different field that takes that date and tells me the nth day of the year for the date I input in the other field.  Example: I would like to input May 31, 2019 in a date field and the in another field put on the script which would  using that date and  show the number 151 in this case.  I have searched the net and found some discussion but nothing that works in adobe. (they go on and on about time zones and leap year etc.) I just need something simple that works in adobe.

Hello,I am having an issue with a section of my code which I have tried nearly EVERYTHING I can think of to correct. I have a form which is being used as a Vacation request form. On it I have two date pickers which matter:Start Date --> Date_5End Date--> Date_6I am trying to calculate the difference in days between these two dates factoring out Holidays (which are stored in an array) & working weekends (also stored in an array) and Weekends (which I have set in an Array of two values "SAT" & "SUN"). For right now my employer does not have a need for working weekends but it has been discussed (time in lieu etc) so it was important that it is there as an option. When I get my start date and end dates captured (code block 1 below) and have them run through the function (getDateArray) something VERY odd happens. The formatting I want is perfect BUT the start date gets bumped "up" one day and thus all of the calculations are wrong.EX:I select May 27, 2019 as my start date. I t
