I have used the following code to change the colour of a text field in a PDF form depending on the value entered into that field.var v = +event.value; {if (v>=1 && v<=5)  event.target.fillColor = ["RGB",0.537,0.776,0];  }  Can anyone suggest how I can modify this code to change the colour of another field?I want to change the colour of field "Text453" depending on the number entered into field "RISK"(I have posted this question on another forum.)

Hi all!I figured out the crossed-off issue (field calculation order), but still have one I'd like to tackle. Once I designate my "1" on my calendar, all the numbers fill in beautifully, but I need it to stop on a certain number without filling in extra spaces (i.e., August ends on the 31st, so I'd need the numbers to stop at 31).Any help you can give is greatly appreciated! Hello Forum,I was assigned a task, and although I can think of other ways to do this, it is the preference of my employer.  Basically, I need to write code that will add a menu option for printing.  The user will tab to the menu, select "Print Signature" and the code will save the document as a jpg and then save the jpg as a pdf.  This is to make the signature more natural looking.The question I have is this:  Can JavaScript code be made persistent?  That is to say, when my employer opens the document, will the menu item be there every time, or will he have to reinstall the JavaScript every time?  Is JavaScript something that IT will have to deploy, or can my employer click a button and add the menu item?Also, can this task be accomplished with JavaScript, or will I have to cozy up to some C++ tutorials?Thanks in advance.  I am excited to learn more about Adobe.Best,Justin Lawrence

Hi All, I recently downloaded Acrobat SDK to develop a project. I came across acrobat type library which I would like to use. I have registered the type library but class is not registered error appears when I run my program.

I am using Indesign to create interactive PDF's with forms. I want to add some custom made calculations with javascript. This should be done in Acrobat to my best knowledge.How should I edit a document without losing the javascript every time I update the document in Indesign?Is there a way to save the javascript in an external file and include it every time I update the document!Or is there some hidden feature which I am unaware of in Indesign!

Hello All,My question is regarding an asp application I have which populates a form by using xfdf , but the feature about opening a pdf file in a new browser tab where the pdf form gets populated with xml information stop working.not sure if XFDF is still supported by Edge, Chrome and firefox browsers, because I have tested and it only works for IE11.Any feedback on this question would be very appreciated, thanks in advance.greets,

I need a code and or formula to help me get a sequential order of numbers in multiple text boxes. In theory it is relativity simple: Field 1 (CD Day 1 as I call it) + 1 = Value Needed. I was able to get the dates to propagate in order properly but of course that coding if specific to dates. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!PS- I don't need numbers added together but I need the next number in line to automatically popup when the initial number gets put in.

This is a really simple question but it isn't working well for me.I have an order form with quantities and amounts. I have a field called Quantity.0 and a field called Amount.0I want whatever quantity is in the "quantity" field to calculate into the amount field. However after creating simplified and custom, it keeps increasing my amount field as I go through my spreadsheet.If someone wants to decrease their quantity on the form, I would like it to recalculate the amount off the new quantity.Then at the bottom of my form, I have a total field which I want to calculate all the Amounts. I used the sum+ and reordered the fields but that isn't adding correctly. Any help is requested.

I am brand new to JavaScripts. I have never done one before. First things first.Mac Pro (late 2013) with El Capitan 10.11.6, Word 15.24 and Acrobat Pro 2015.017.20053I knocked together a Word document which happens to have a lot of images. It needs to go to some legal people (et al) so I wanted it in PDF.Within Word it fails with a message:"This version of Word can't export to this type of file because the file is too large. Generally a file that is larger than 20MB is too big to export"Unimpressed with this arbitrary cap on file sizes and also the hint that there might be an unspecified version of Word that does work, I tried Acrobat.But Acrobat uses Word to do the export. It fails with the same message. What is the point of that?How, good people, short of wasting hours of my short life resizing and replacing masses of images can this absurd restriction be overcome?Many thanks,

I am trying spawn (unlimited times) two blank template pages (upon push of a button) that still leverage the custom field-level javascript that has been developed on the page. Using the following script, it will spawn each template (refreshed), but the field-level custom javascript does not work. Hi,I made a Form for monthly expenses and the user has to fill every row with the currency and the amount for every type of cost:Basically I created hidden text fields for each row where there's the right change rate according to the Date/Currency entered; the total is calculated in the end using another table with the change rate and related date. Hi,I am having problem with creating a fillable form formula to work in adobe. I have created a drop down menu titled "No.ofMeals", values being 3,4 and 5. I want the form to divide the field "ProteinGrams" by whats selected from the drop down - so divided by either 3,4,5. Thanks

I use Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2015 and Adobe Acrobat DC SDK. Our plugin opens a file from a mapped drive and makes modifications, saves the documents and closed it. After that we open the same document but from the different mapped drive and make some modification but we can't save the file back to the mapped drive. Plugin can save the file locally with the same name and then save the file to the network drive. I have the correct permissions to the folder.  What else can it be? The error message is this:"The document could not be saved.  The file may be read-only, or another user may have it open.  Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder."The file is not read-only, also I checked code and there are no acquired objects that are not released before Acrobat attempts to flush its in-memory state. We have found a workaround - save to the local temp folder and copy it to mapped drive but it looks ugly.
