Hello,I created a stamp you can put on a PDF document.The stamp ask some questions and save the document in a folder.Now i got the question 'Adobe needs write acces to save the document in the folder';Is there a way to suppress this questions in the Javascript ?In Adobe menu Edit - Preferences - Security (Enhanced) can you disable/enable the option 'Enable Protected Mode'.When this option = Off then you don't get the message. When the option = On then you get the message.So I want this option On but not the Write access message.Thx

I have been given an application where  the user fills out a form onscreen and we take that data and fill in the fields in a pdf template and allow them to download the new file.  We were using a third-party tool in the past and for money reasons we can no longer use that tool since we have upgraded our web server.  Is this possible to do with the Acrobat tool currently and can someone point me in the direction to some example code? The app is in vb.net but if the example code is in C#  I can convert.

I need help with hexadecimal encoding format in PDF files for both text and date and time stamps, e.g./Lang <hexadecimals>/Author <hexadecimals>/Created <hexadecimals>etc.Please point me to relevant page(s) in PDF reference/specification where encoding format is explained in detail, I must admit I didn't succeed on my own.

I have created a document where certain fields are updated based on triggers in other fields.  Part of this update includes changing color formatting from black on white to white on black.  The autopopulated fields are updated as the trigger fields are also updated.  I have also added the ability for users to manually override the autopopulated data.  (4 wins)After an autopopulated field has been manually updated, I need the color formatting to return to black on white. Hi,I am much new to the vba as well as for the Adobe Forum.I need to convert .pdf file to an excel file via excel vba.To get done it,I am required to have Acrobat sdk vba reference.So I downloaded it from Adobe Site using this Downloads this link.When I browse through vba reference library those file are not displayed but only a tlb file is displayed.when I activated it and run my macro it says "UNABLE TO CREATE ACTIVE X COMPONENT".How do I solve this?

I have been asked to create a PDF where a user will select from multiple choices.  Each choice should display a text box with different information.  I'm new to programming (and to programming in Adobe).  I understand from poking around that I will use validation script coding for the drop-down list.  I've found an example, but it doesn't work and I've checked and rechecked the code with the same outcome.  Here's the example code:this.getField(txtDescription").display = event.value=="Other" ? display.visible : display.hidden;txtDescription is the text box that will display if "Other" is selected from the drop-down list.  For my form, I need 3, or more, drop-down choices, each of which will display a corresponding, otherwise hidden, text box.Any pointers will be greatly appreciated.  Any links to tutorials would also be greatly appreciated.Thank you

If the document is tagged then we can view the tagged objects as (Paragraph/Table/Figure). So, my question is. Whether i can get those tagged objects(Paragraph/Table/Figure)  programmatically from a PDF.So, here by using the Accessibility Tool we can view each and every object as Paragraph or Table. Hi,Using Adobe Pro I created a new form that a user can fill in digitally. But I know a certain part of my customers prefer to print it first and then fill it in. The form has two drop down list fields. If printed the user can’t see the values in this lists. I thought about creating a print form along in the same document. If the user fills in the form I want it to print page 1 and if the fields are empty I want to automatically print page 2 and 3. I tried the “will print” JavaScript but did not succeed yet. Can anyone help me out?

I have a PDF with many layers that are hidden or shown based on javascripts and field values. I'm trying to print to post script and the application freezes and then crashes about 30 seconds later. I'm able to print to post script with another pdf, but this one in particular will not work. It's a pretty large file (13mb), so I thought I would try to flatten it and reduce the file size, but I still have the same problem. I have a field called "MileageRate". I would like that field to toggle between read-only and "read-write" when clicking a button. This way, each year that the mileage rate changes I can just enter the new rate, then make read-only again without having to actually use the "prepare form" functionality of acrobat to make that change. Is there a javascript I can use for that? I don't have any sample to enter here because I don't know how to write javascript... but I've become quite talented at copying and pasting .Any help is appreciated, thanks!Ariel

Hi there!Hoping someone might be able to help explain this to me.. I searched for a while and can't find any similar occurrences.I just went to add a footer to a document I'm working on (manually - using the "Header & Footer" tool). As soon as the options window came up, the JS console also popped up and started going haywire with errors. Each time I typed a letter or clicked anything on the Header & Footer options window, the console showed another block of the same errors. In all there were over 600 lines of the same errors repeating.They are all mostly reference errors claiming that several of my document level functions are not defined - when they most definitely are.Does the Header & Footer tool cause some sort of JS event? And if so, why wouldn't it recognize the functions? I'm super confused here.
