Hi guys. Wondering if it's possible to concatenate a string in to the this getField() property.I'll elaborate.I have a script writing pro forma with two main text fields SCRIPT-1 and SCRIPT-2. (The same page is saved as a template.)With a button I can spawn a new page with new text fields then the fields names become P1.ScriptPage.SCRIPT-1 and P1.scriptfile.SCRIPT-2.Each page increments the 'P' value by one for the UID.What I want to do is run a simple for loop to run through all the iterations of SCRIPT-1 and 2 on each page and bring them in to a single variable for outputting in a single textbox 'all2oneText'. This all2oneText is on a third spawned page of a different template.This is the code I am using. I consider myself computer savvy and I can generally pick up on things real quick, but this JavaScript is giving me a headache.  I have Acrobat DC and have created a couple simple forms so far.  The simple calculations are easy enough, but now I must delve into the more complicated scripting calculations and I just don't understand where to start.  I've read all sorts of blogs and forums, studies the instructions provided by adobe and i seem more confused.  In the example form shown below, I want to have an employee enter a few fields and have the form calculate the rest as specified below:1. Column "Pay Date" PaymentD_1 should equal Repayment_Start_Date as entered by the employee.2. The rest of the PaymentD_xx should be PaymentD_1 + 14 days so that it is every two weeks.3. Hello everybody. Im creating an interactive pdf with buttons that can replace images using event.target.buttonImportIcon(); command. Some of these images are .png, so they have an alpha (transparency). The problem is that the replaced images with this command appears without alpha, and inserts white instead of transparency.is there any way to insert .png images with their alpha? thanks!

Hello,I have a situation where after running a process I have a folder full of pdfs. It can be any number of pdfs but the pattern is the same:Chapter1_tab.pdfChapter1_Text.pdfChapter2_tab.pdfChapter2_Text.pdfChapter3_tab.pdfChapter3_Text.pdfWhat I need to do is merge the _tab file with the _text file below it. Each pair of files is a chapter in a book. I don't need to do any further merging other than stick the tab at the front of the chapter. I do it manually now but I can have nearly 1000 chapters and tabs. It takes hours. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Hello to everyone,I'm hoping someone can help me out here as I'm a bit stuck.I have a PDF that has multiple hyperlinks to documents that reside on a server.Next to each hyperlink is a check box.The goal is to print the documents that reside on the server based on whether or not the check boxes are checked off/ticked.Say there are ten hyperlinks, each with a check box next to them.  I'd like the user to check off/tick whatever document(s) they want to print, then click a print button that automatically prints all of the documents that have a check box ticked.Is this possible and, if so, can someone please show me how to do it?I'm using Adobe Acrobat X Pro.Thanks,Chad

I have an alert box setup in Document JavaScripts.  When a user opens a PDF form, this alert box pops up giving them information.  If they click ok, it closes the popup window and takes them to the PDF form.  But the Cancel button does the same thing.  I would like the Cancel button to close the popup window AND the PDF form.  Is this possible?

Hello everyone!   I have searched this forum for days and tried many things but cannot find a workable solution to my problem.  My javascripting skills are novice at best.I have created a numerical free text box "NumberValue" and a dropdown menu "TextChoices" with 5 text choices (ie Text1, Text2, Text3, Text4, Text5).  IF the user selects Text1 AND the previous numerical box "NumberValue" is >12 THEN make the "NumberValue" = 12.  IF the user selects Text1 AND the "NumberValue" is <12 THEN make "NumberValue" = the users input.  IF the user selects any other text choice THEN "NumberValue" = the users input.Any advice other than closing the program and walking away?

I have a field (Field1) that gets information from a calulated field (Field2) fed by three other section group fields (fieldgroupTotal-1,fieldgroup total-2, fieldgroup Total-3). Hello!I am trying to combine two text fields and a check box value into a line of its own within a text field.  Clients are able to select one of 7 color options (Check Box1), 1 of 200 text options (Message Number_01) and the location (Location01) for 1 complete product.  There are 81 total products. I need these options for each product to populate on a summary page within a text field with the "Off" on the check box to remove that line. Hi I want to do a search in a pdf file, I want to look for a name and then to perform the search I pull an ordered list of all the times that name appears. I did it with advanced search but the list is very confusing ... is there any code to do this?

We've build an Acrobat plugin with custom annotation handler which works fine. Now we're looking at reader-enabled plugin and it seems like methods like PDRegisterAnnotHandler or PDGetAnnotHandlerByName are not available in reader at all. Is it really so? Or is there any way to enable/use these methods in Reader plugin?ThanksJozef

I am looking for a way to lock all fields after input with a button, but not signatures and possibly signature date fields. Not sure, but I don't think the protect features need to be used for this.Our sales reps need to fill out the forms, but we would like for the customers to be able to digitally sign them, and before the sales reps send the docs to the customer, I thought it would be best to lock all the fields we don't want them to be able to (even accidentally) change.I found this thread here, Form - Lock fields after input but not signatures.  from the LiveCycle forum, but need to do this in Acrobat Pro.

I received this request from an accountant. She has a PDF with tens of pages, each page is a different invoice, she wants acrobat to shuffle pages and sort them according to invoice number sequence.Is it possible to script such request? I couldn't find a way to do this with existing Acrobat tools.

I'm trying to validate a keystroke entry based on the text already entered. I can get the value before the change was made, but I can't figure out how to tell the value that includes the changes (i.e. I need to accept or reject the keystroke based on the entire updated field contents).  I'm sure I've done this in the past, but I can't find an example of it.Is there an event property which shows the full value with changes included?

I've used functions in my forms for years and while updating one this year the functions that have worked for years don't want to pull. Is there a preference or a setting I've messed up that is causing this. I'm at a loss here, anyone?

Hi,I want to provide a link to a PDF file that should be opened inside IE11 (the download has got header parameter Content-Disposition: inline). When I click the link the document opens as expected in the same page and takes all space in the page.The problem is now, how do I navigate back from the PDF to the first page? I am using a touch screen and full screen mode (F11 - no navigation buttons, menus, etc. visible). The "swipe-left" gesture - which is usally used to navigate back in the browser - is overriden by PDF plugin and makes me navigate only inside the PDF. I have a PDF form that asks patients to fill in health questions from a tablet. Then we click a Send Email button. I have a PDF form that's gone awry; some check boxes turn black when printing, while others don't and there's no clear reason for this. Worse is that those black check boxes are completely black regardless of whether they're checked or not, so there's no telling whether they're actually checked.I've saved the scripts from the "All JavaScripts" option of the form, as the scripts work great, and now I want to load those into a new export (from InDesign) of the form. Unfortunately that doesn't work; none of the scripts seem to save in the new form. I'm guessing it's because they can't be bound to the proper fields due to them not having the correct formatting set yet.All fields are named logically as in "quantity-[product]" and "net-price-[product]", so I'm thinking it should be possible to run a JavaScript once (using an action set to a button press?) to set all fields whose names start with a certain string ("net-price" for example) to a certain format. I have a PDF form that has a submit button that sends a notification email using the javascript app.mailMsg() function. I need to use app.mailMsg() as the form is auto-saved to a company server as it's filled out and I just need to send a notification email using one of the form variables (the doc. number). I do not need to send the form.The form also uses a digital signature field to track who in the company is submitting forms. My problem is, if someone signs the document, the app.mailMsg() call ceases to work and generates the following error:NotAllowedError: Security settings prevent access to this property or method. Doc.subject:2:Field SUBMIT:Mouse UpI've managed to track the problem to the digital signature. At any point, before signing the document, if the submit button is clicked, it generates the appropriate email. Once the document is signed, security measures prevent the submit button from working. Is there a way to fix/workaround this issue?
