I am new with automation to adobe I have a pdf file that is created by a third-party appThe pdf file contains elements that when the user click on them a popup menu appears. I want to interrupt with the menu item or add a new menu item which perform an action when clicked. I dont care if the code is implemented with Visual Basic, C#, Java, JS, VBS or in any other langue. What are the tools i should use (Acrobat SDK, pro license of adobe...) ?

I am developing an VB.Net application (.Net 4.0 framework) in Visual Studio 2013.  I have a control that includes an instance of the AxAcroPDFLib.AxAcroPDF control (named pdfViewer in the user control) from Adobe Reader XI.  This app can have between 2 to 8 instances of the user control, so there can be multiple instances of the AxAcroPDF control.  I'm having no problems loading files into each instance of the control.  The problem I am having is that when the user selects the Print option from the toolbar at the bottom, the printer selected is only retained for a yet-to-be-determined number of minutes, then it seems to reset back to the Default printer.  What could be causing this?  The only method I am invoking is the LoadFile(), once to load with a genuine file to view, and once with a "BLANKPDF" value to get the control to clear itself out.  Any ideas?

Hi, I'm having trouble exporting field names and values to an excel file using vba code. I'm pretty sure the code worked until a few weeks ago. I'm working with Acrobat Pro DC version 2020.012.20041 and excel 2016 (16.0.5071.1000) 32 bitsI have references to Adobe Acrobat 10.0 Type library & AFormAut 1.0 Type LibraryI'm sure the acrobat document (file attached to this post) has fields as the program lineDebug.print Fields.count gives 108 as result The codes gives an error on the line.For Each Field In Fields It seems it does not recognize Field as an element. Hi , i have 2 radio buttons (T+2 & choice T+3  ). If i select choice 1, the value input in text field (T + ?) column should be 0 ≤ 2 and choice 2 should output 3 ≤ 11 number. How to script this . Attached below is the snapshot of form.Please help and thanks in advance.

I cannot find my recently opened files for a particular day. I need to retrieve an unsaved file form that day but I cannot find any single I opened on that day. I went to one of the saved files that I opened that day and checked when last it was accessed and it said it was accessed on the day that particular day. However, according to the recently opened file list on my Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, I did not open /access any file on that day. Please does anyone have any idea on how I can navigate this or retrieve the unsaved file? I have tried using the time machine on my MacBook and using a code on my terminal but it did not work.   

I build and install computer images for faculty and staff at a university. Some of these users elect to purchase Acrobat Pro DC in the perpetual serial-number edition to keep the software with the machine through staff changes. I install the software at build-time and the software cannot get out onto the internet. When the computer is in place and connected to the network, the user is prompted to enter their Adobe ID to register the product. Upon successfully entering their adobe ID, the product closes without error.  The product is not registered.Next launch the process repeats. I have:-  run a repair on the installation. -  uninstalled, and re-installed the product-  run the uninstall and clean utility to remove the product, and any other acrobat-related software and settings, then re-installed. -  Attempted sign-in with various adobe user accounts. -  Downloaded the latest serial-number installer from: Download Pro or Standard versions of Acrobat DC, XI

I apologize in advance if this is confusing.  So I have a dropdown ("dh1ZoneDD") - with options: 1, 2, 3, 4I have a textbox ("z1GPP1") that will receive/display the info based on the selection of the DD.And I have 4 textboxes that will have some calculated data (we can call these "GPP1", "GPP2", "GPP3", "GPP4") if the dropdown selection is 1 - "z1GPP1" will display the value that is in "GPP1". I've tried a few approaches when it comes to coding this solution and I can't get it to work beyond displaying the first value from GPP1 when the DD choice is 1. I have a fillable PDF that is working how I want, but I'm wondering if I can make a document javascript that makes it easier for me?  The forumla looks like this,(MHPF1)*((InstalledRow1*.6)+(GlazedRow1*.3)+(CaulkedRow1*.1)) = Completed Man Hours Instead of writing this for every Completed Man Hours row, can I make a document javascript to complete this?   I attached the PDF for some help.   How would I make it do this for each row?

I have a pre-fillable user form in PDF format. I need to add a submit button in the PDF, which runs the javascript code. When the button is clicked, I need to save the PDF file into a MoveIT folder location. I am newbie and not sure how to start. I researched in adobe community and found few ways on saving the file but i dont see anywhere about how to save it in location where we need to pass in user credentials to access the file location and save the file there. Does anyone know what is the best way to save the files in a secured location? Thanks in advance

Hello Friends, I am trying to write a script that will change a fill color based on a calculated field's event value, but I am having trouble getting the effected field to change both colors. I'm hoping someone can help me figure out how to resolve my text field not calculating properly.I have a text field name 'TotalOTHrsEmp1'.  I click on 'Calculate' and choose 'Value is the' and pick the fields I want to calculate the hours.  There is one particular text field I am having a problem with calculating.  It's a checkbox that populates '1' to another text field.  When I check the box the hour doesn't add up, but when I uncheck the box the hour does add up.  That's not what I want, I want the '1' hour to add up in the 'TotalOTHrsEmp1' text field when the box is ticked.  Here is what I have set up...The checkbox is named 'TravelTimePdEmp1'.  The text field is named 'TTPdEmp1' and in this text field I have a custom calculation script as follows, var a ="";if (this.getField("TravelTimePdEmp1").value == "Yes"){a="1";}event.value = a;Thank you in advance for any help with this!  

So.. I know nothing about JavaScript. Simply tooling around with PDF as a potential proposal tool. I'm trying to apply operators (less than, greater than, equal to) to an existing output  "Propsal Score", that will create an output in a second box "Accountig Type". If my Value Sum from "Proposal Score" is between 0 an 50, how do I have the second text box populate:"Cash Basis" if the Proposal Score is 0-10   "Hybrid Basis" if the Proposal score is 11-30"Accrual Basis" if the Proposal score is 31-50Really appreciate any help!!!

With an Adobe fillable form, can a user be prompted to select a Word document that is then converted and appended to the form for submission as a complete document? Attachments to fillable forms are not apparent or viewable in other readers or browser extensions. So, I need the user to find and select the document, convert and merge the document to the fillable form for submission. Is there a script for this that I can associate with the Submit button? I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and the users may be using any other viewer.
