Sticky notes and highlights not recognised

Acrobat doesn't recognise the sticky notes and highlights on my document. I can't remove or change the colour of the highlights, nor do my sticky notes appear in the comment section. I cannot open, edit or delete them. How do I restore my sticky notes at least?

Hope you are doing well.

As per the issue description on the unexpected behaviour of sticky notes and highlights.

Kindly try these troubleshooting steps:

1. Check if the app is up to date.

2. Try repair installation from the help option from the menu bar. (For windows only)
