Question

A thought-provoking artificial intelligence production

Hello. Below you can see the prompt I entered into an AI and the result it produced.

If you look closely at the image that was produced, you will see a watermark from a site that is a competitor to Adobe Stock.

Seeing this made me think about AI and copyrights in many disturbing ways.

What are your thoughts?

I did a reverse image search to guarantee the image wasn't an exact or near exact reproduction of an existing image and didn't find anything that bore a resemblance. That said, it can happen at times that watermarks will appear in a result, since AI pulls assets from thousands or perhaps millions of existing images randomly including, potentially, watermarks. Midjourney has made a fairly good attempt at making sure this doesn't happen (at least not as often as it used to) This would not, or at least should not, happen in Adobe's Firefly, however, since it was trained on contributor assets that would not have contained watermarks.
