Question

Adobe Stock Cancellation fee

Hello,
I signed up for a free trial for Adobe stock that I thought I needed for a skillshare class. I forgot to cancel it, and I didn't know that I would be continuing to pay for a year subscription (monthly). I also didn't know until today that there is a cancellation fee. I am a student and hoping that there is any way to waive the cancellation fee, and cancel my Adobe stock subscription. I only used it during the free trial. And I would have canceled it within the 14 day period if I had known it was still active.

That's part of the agreement you agreed upon when you took the subscription.

You need to monitor your credit card charges.

Check with Adobe customer support, what can be done for you. Adobe customer care can be contacted by beginning a secure chat session at https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen. Pop-up blockers need to be disabled, you need to accept cookies! If the chat window fails to open, or is non-responsive, use a different device and/or browser to start the interaction.
Support phone numbers may be found here: https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/phone.html. Kindly note that phone charges may apply.

Important: Adobe does NOT contact you unsolicited by e-mail or direct message. If you get contacted by direct message from a person, claiming to be an Adobe employee, look at that profile and look, if they bear the “Adobe Employee” marking under their name. Adobe support does not use Skype to give you support.

If in doubt, ask the forum.

Same issue over here.

First of all this 194$ CAD fee is absurd, and was a VERY well hidden fact when subscribing for the free trial. This is very unlike Adobe, which I have been using and paying for monthly for YEARS. Can something be done about this? This feels like a really good scam, taking advantage of honest people.

From the “Subscription and Cancellation Terms”:

Cancellation Terms:

You can cancel your subscription anytime via your Adobe Account page or by contacting Customer Support. If you cancel during your trial period, you will not be charged. If you cancel within 14 days of the start of your paid subscription, you’ll be fully refunded. Should you cancel after 14 days, you’ll be charged a lump sum amount of 50% of your remaining contract obligation and your service will continue until the end of that month’s billing period.

This is also part of the e-mail, you got, when you took your subscription. Paying an annual subscription on the month does not make that a monthly subscription.
