ai File Download Fail

Question

I am trying to download from Adobe Stock #682639238 and when I try and open it in Inkscape I get and error stating "Failed to Load the Requested File". I can open the jpeg version just fine but I am unable to edit it. When I try and convert the ai file to and svg ending in Pixillion I get a message stating the file is corrupted. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I don't do editing enough to stay up to date. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Third-party editors do not implement the whole Adobe Illustrator file format. Best is to find someone with access to a current version of Adobe Illustrator and to get the file converted to a format you can read with Inkscape.
