Question

Best keywords or search strategies to find specific compositions in Adobe Stock?

Searching Adobe Stock is extremely frustrating! I shouldn’t have to spend HOURS looking for photos and images. I’m finding it really difficult to narrow down results in Adobe Stock when I’m looking for very specific compositions (like side angle, over-the-shoulder, or device-focused shots).

Are there specific keywords or search strategies that actually help refine results? The filters are of little to no use. For example, if I exclude all people, 40% of the results still show people in them.

Also, does Adobe Stock support any kind of Boolean operators or advanced search syntax (like using +, AND/OR, etc.) to make searches more precise?

Any additional insight is greatly appreciated! TIA!

However, the usefulness of keywords and titles is totally at the discretion of the Stock Contributor. Adobe does not edit or audit those keywords, beyond ensuring that they don’t include any trademarked terms. Some Contributors, and those who speak another language, often just aren’t very good at applying useful and thorough keywords. And if they’re entering keywords in their native another, you’re also at the mercy of the built-in translator to translate properly into English...
