Question

Can I license a photo to use in a print book and eBook?

I have a few questions.

I see that you can license photos for book covers and eBook covers. But what about inside the book?

For example, if you are writing a travel book, can you licence a photo of a spot you are discussing in your book, and include that photo in the chapter?

If so, is this considered "editorial use"? Do I need to add the line for credit under it? Or can I put it in the book footnotes at the end?

Sure, you can use the asset, according to the licensing terms also for your book inside. Put your credits there, where youput other credits. Normally for a book that is done on page 3 or 5, but if you put them at the end, it's also ok.

Look here for more information on licensing: https://community.adobe.com/t5/stock/links-for-licensing-terms/td-p/11366788
(Disclaimer: As always with licensing, this is my interpretation of the rules. I think they are correct and advice is based on reading and interpreting the licence terms and on fair use for both the buyer and the artist/stock company, but I cannot rule out that my interpretation is wrong. I'm not an Adobe employee).
