Can I purchase just one image?
I don't want to buy out the whole monthly package, just pay for one, single image? Is that possible at all?

in this case I would use the "first month free" option. In my German Stock photos, royalty-free images, graphics, vectors & videos | Adobe Stock (sorry it doesn't change to US version) I found:
