Can I use Adobe Stock images as reference for derivative work with my Educational License?

I have Adobe Stock educational license through my university BA course. Can I use licensed stock images included in my Education License as visual references to create derivative works (vector graphics, illustrations etc.) to use in a university project?

 

Non-commercial. Do I have to use stock images marked 'Commercial' or can I use the ones marked 'Editorial' as well as long as I am not heavily eaditing the original image itself but an illustration or graphic from it?

Without knowing your special terms and conditions coming with an educational license, but just out of my gut: sure, go ahead.

 

It would not make sense to give you access to stock and disallow the use for educational projects. 

 

As for editorial assets, they cant be modified (accept for cropping or similar simple modifications) and they can be used only in the context of editorial use (I would say that a scientific paper, published on a blog or a journal is such editorial use).
