Question

Can I use stock videos in a film?

Hello,

I have found several instructions on licensing stock videos. I want to know details about using a stock video in a film that might be released in theatre, in festival, in OTT, or

in Youtube, or in social media. The stock videos will be used without modification except the color. Is it ok only to buy them under enhanced license?

TIA

Adit

You need to look into the licensing terms. As of my information, videos are coming with an enhanced licence only.

Look here for more information on licensing: https://community.adobe.com/t5/stock/links-for-licensing-terms/td-p/11366788
(Disclaimer: As always with licensing, this is my interpretation of the rules. I think they are correct and advice is based on reading and interpreting the licence terms and on fair use for both the buyer and the artist/stock company, but I cannot rule out that my interpretation is wrong. I'm not an Adobe employee).

The license is not clear. That is why there are so many questions about using in a film.
