Can't open Adobe Stock PSDT file

Hi all, I'm trying to open a PSDT from Adobe Stock but when I do I get a popup saying that Apple could not verify it's free of malware.

Has anyone else encountered this? Is it for real? If not, is there a workaround?

Thanks!

Once you've downloaded the template, run Photoshop and then use File > Open and navigate to the .psdt file rather than opening from the Finder.

It has to do with MacOS Privacy & Security. You need to go into settings->Privacy & Security and scroll all the way down and click on "Open Anyway".

I'm getting the same thing and yes, adjusting the setting works on a file-by-file basis. It's pretty annoying to have to do this for every single .psdt file that I download. I download these kind of files often from Adobe stock. This started happening right after I updated my MacOS to Sequoia.

I want to know if there is a way to always "open anyway" for .psdt files.

This looks more like an Apple issue than a file issue. Maybe Apple is overdoing the user protection here.

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to open a PSDT file from Adobe Stock but when I do I get a popup saying that Apple could not verify it's free of malware. It has been doing this for me within the last few days.

I have tried restarting my mac, deleting photoshop and re installing, I've tried cleaning my chrome browser and history, deleted all cache, I've downloaded an anti virus software and ran some scans but they all said my mac was clean. I've never had this issue before and it seems like it is only PSDT files that have this issue.

Has anyone else encountered this? What can I try to solve this issue?

One assumption you have to be making is that you downloaded a file from the real Adobe Stock website. Is that sound?

I'm in no position to suggest you use a method found on the web, and even on the Adobe and Apple Support Community websites.

Search for yourself if you dare. Search for "Apple could not verify file is free of malware that may harm your Mac or compromise your privacy."

Keyword "open anyway." Caveat emptor.

Perhaps @Contributor1 can verify that this file is safe (no reason why it shouldn't be). I can't download it without licensing it...

Hello @sc90976367, I believe this warning is common for files and apps that are not from the Apple Apps Store. The licensed version of 1262837602 loads in Photoshop 26.6 correctly on my test and I'm not aware of a security risk with our assets on Adobe Stock.
