If you haven't used it, you may be able to negotiate your way out of the contract. If you have, you will need to pay the early termination fee.

To negotiate your way out of the contract, you need to contact customer care. Adobe customer care can be contacted by beginning a secure chat session at https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen. Pop-up blockers need to be disabled, you need to accept cookies! If the chat window fails to open, or is non-responsive, use a different device and/or browser to start the interaction.

Important: Adobe does NOT contact you unsolicited by e-mail or direct message. If you get contacted by direct message from a person, claiming to be an Adobe employee, look at that profile and check if they bear the “Adobe Employee” marking under their name. Adobe support does not use Skype to give you support.
If in doubt, ask the forum.

Good luck! I'm considering canceling all of my adobe apps because of the scam contract they do with adobe stock. I finished out the year, paying around $500 only to have all of my purchased credits lost

There is nothing scummy about it. If you cancel your stock subscription, accumulated credits will be cancelled. That is, as such, part of the terms and conditions that you accepted while taking the subscription.

It's an analogy to a telecom service contract. You take a contract, and you get free minutes and free megabytes, but at the end of the day, you pay for the infrastructure, not exactly for the minutes. Maintaining the stock database costs a lot and if you would take a subscription, accumulate a year of credits and then use those credits during your lifetime, the system would not work.
