Question

Cancelling Adobe Stock without getting charged - when is my annual start date?

Hi, can somebody help me out.

I'm looking to end my subscription to Adobe Stock but if I cancel now I'm going to be charged a penalty of £40. I assume this is because I'm on an annual subscription that's paid monthly and but I'm not at the end of the year.

But, and this is where my problem is, I can't find any info on when the new year starts again so I can time my cancellation. Does anyone know where I can find this info?

Thanks in advance

Check here: https://account.adobe.com/plans. Click on the plan you want to manage, and you will see the starting date of your plan:

As a side note: The early termination fee is half of the remaining due. So with that knowledge, you will still pay 80 GBP until the end of your subscription. This divided by the monthly due gives you the remaining number of moths. After the last payment, you can cancel without a fee. But there are 2 things you need to keep in mind:

  1. By cancelling, you will lose access to all unused plan credits. I recommend using the accumulated credits for assets that you may need in the future, as licensed assets can be used as long as you wish, as there is no expiration date. There are other limitations, however, like a 500k print run or similar.
  2. Cancelling now and paying the early termination fee is cheaper than waiting for the contract expiry. (Number (1) will come into effect immediately at the end of your subscription!)

Thanks very much for taking the time to reply. I'll have a little think about whats best 🙂

Im assuming that my libraries will not be affected and all previous licensed assets will remain if I cancel correct?

Yes, you retain perpetual rights to use all previously licensed assets.

Look at your Adobe Creative Cloud account which lists all of your Adobe subscriptions. That page will show the expiration date.
