Cannot set a password for a new adobe stock paid membership account

My friend recently signed up for Adobe Stock for 40 standard assets a month with Free 1 Month trial. He received a confirmation email saying Your Adobe Stock subscription is now active! However, whenever we try to set the password, it gives us this error message:

We already tried signing in and just clicking the forgot password button but the same error message comes up.

Please help.
