Consistently Irrelevant Search Results on Adobe Stock

Hello Adobe Community,

I am reaching out to discuss an issue I've consistently encountered while using Adobe Stock's search functionality. When searching for specific images with clearly defined keywords, I often receive results that are completely unrelated to my search terms. A recent example of this occurred when I searched for "old fashioned cocktail transparent background." Instead of finding images of cocktails with a transparent background, I was presented with images of unrelated items like chairs, clocks, and red hats.

This has not been a one-time issue but a recurring problem with various keywords where the search results include content that is entirely irrelevant. For instance, including very specific terms in my search does not seem to limit the results to the expected subjects.

I am curious to know if anyone else has experienced similar issues and how they have addressed them. Moreover, I would appreciate any insights or suggestions on how to improve the accuracy of search results. Is there a way to fine-tune the search engine or a method to provide feedback directly about these inaccuracies?

Thank you for your assistance and looking forward to your advice.

Best regards,

Francesco.

You'll have much better success if you search for "old fashioned cocktail" (include the quote marks), then use the filter panel on the left to select  Transparent background. Not everyone enters the keywords "transparent background", but if they do, you'll get many transparent images that don't include the keywords "old fashioned cocktail".

Yes I find this WRONG  Keyword Tagging issue a continued pain [abuse deleted by the moderator]. Why in the world are there so many impropelry tagged images and why is there no opion to report images that need to be fixed or at least reviewed by Adobe Stock. Many other stock image websites have the improper tagging reporting feature. Why not Adobe, especialy being that this is a PAID Service???

That would be helpful. I suppose Adobe fears abuse from the other side here.

This didnt used to be the case but the last couple of months I have found this too and am considering changing to another image library. I wish they would address this issue!

Since assets are registered in a variety of languages, there may be cases where translations from other languages result in a misinterpretation of the original meaning.
It may also be the case that contributors have set incorrect keywords.
If you are seeing clearly incorrect search results, you can contact support to see if they can improve the situation.

Thank you Jill. That is good advice. I found the corresponding resource in the first 2-3 results. However, there remain many unrelated resources.

Unfortunately, I think some Contributors add too many unrelated keywords to their submissions.
