i have only been using the stock photos for a couple of months and after the 1st month I changed my plan to 10 pics a month but how do I know how many pics I have downloaded. I don't want to exceed my limit but equally what happens if you don't use the full 10 do you lose them when the next licence is paid.

If you have a subscription, that subscription covers standard assets, not premium ones (enhanced licence) and not extended licences. Video is also not included.

Sorry, I did not answer completely your question: Unused allowances from the prior month carry over to the next one for up to a year of credits. So if you are on a 10-images/month-subscription, you can accumulate up to 120 credits, given that you do not use one asset.

 

But to add here: if you cancel your subscription, you lose all unused credits.

Very Sorry but i have another question. I wanted to get the pic shown below
but when I clicked on the licence button it came up with the message shown,
does that mean I would have to purchase the picture please confirm.

Look into your licence history for knowing the number of credits used.
