Help- License help and how to get the most value- which plan

Hi, I am new to using stack images. I wish to purchase a pattern to produce a stencil. I would need the extended license but what is the most economical way to go about purchasing it? Each extended license is £47.99 is there a better way of doing it? I don't need access to the videos or images section just vectors and patterns.

once we purchase a pattern are we able to alter it? Is that acceptable?

Thank you

You can look into credit packs. You need 8 credits for one extended licence: https://stock.adobe.com/plans

As long as it isn't illustrative editorial, sure.

Would it be acceptable to purchase a standard license and modify the design/pattern then use it to create a stencil to sell? Or do I purchase a standard license to work out if it works for the project and then purchase the extended license or because I have modified it I do not need to buy the extended? I seem to purchase vectors that I think will work but often don't. so I don't want to waste money on an extended license when it may not be fit for the purpose. I hope I make sense.

The general rule is, that you need an extended licence for merchandizing. If you develop a prototype, you can do that with a standard licence. But be sure not to select a free asset, as they are not available as an extended asset until after they get removed from the free collection. (Tipp: you can however licence any free asset and wait for the free period to expire... 🙂 )

When you have modified an asset in such a way, that it represents a new work and the asset is not reognizable, you could pretend that it is an independant work. I wouldn't bet on that.

And when you invest time in the asset, make sure that you can take the extended licence rapidly. The risk is always, that the author or Adobe decides to pull that asset from the database.
